so, now Disgaea and Disgaea 2 are out. out for a bit.....and i am sad. i find the second to be lacking and definitly not a sequal to Disgaea in any way. Disgaea was masterfully written and planned out. i could play that game for hours on end and it was awsome. great music great planning. but the second was like...idk...a cheapend version. popish music. corny tired dialouge. i mean...laharl...thats a new story def. but adell... some kid who thinks hes a paladin tryna save the world and his little home town from evil...come on.

I partially agree. Storyline wise, Disgaea 2 was not as good as the first. It was rather cliche in comparison. Half the fun of the first Disgaea was being the prince of the netherworld, in control of a demon army, out to conquer and destroy (*manages to supress evil laughter*). But as Adell, you are a riteous do-gooder in a world full of demons (his love of battle is a plus though.) It just isn't as fitting in the world of Disgaea. There was still some good humor though (the prinnies and Tink are examples.) Gameplay & graphics wise though, Disgaea 2 is a huge improvement. The gameplay mechanics and maps were designed a lot nicer, especially the item world (no more unreachable platforms, huzzah!). And there were quite a few (but not all) bugs fixed. The new display for an item's stats annoyed me at first, but I got used to it. In general, a lot of improvements in that catagory. So yeah, that's my take on it anyway, dood.

i agree. Rozy kinda annoys me though. i like Etna way better. i would say in terms of Characters, the original is better in my oppinion.
